Very deep, almost black appearance, Château La Garde 2016 opens with an intense and complex bouquet of blackberries, rich dark cherries, and subtle smoky, spicy notes typical of its Pessac-Léognan terroir.
On the palate, generous and expressive fruit unfolds immediately, supported by fine tannins, good concentration, and a smooth texture.
The wine shows density and depth while maintaining elegance and freshness.
The finish is long and harmonious, with layered fruit, spice, and mineral notes.
Grape Varieties

Vinification
Hand harvesting with careful selection. Grapes are destemmed and gently extracted to preserve fruit purity and develop balanced tannin structure.
Fermentation is temperature controlled, with regular cap management for harmonious integration of tannins. Malolactic fermentation occurs in barrel or tank to round the tannins and enhance texture.
Ageing
Aged in a combination of French oak barrels and other vessels for several months, allowing full integration of structure and development of aromatic complexity before bottling.
